As a child we loved them. We cherished them, we worshiped them. It was the center of our desires. The sweetness that came with it allured us to consume them. Day after day, night after night.
We disobeyed our mothers and gave into gluttony. At the time it was harmless. But it cultivated an evil. With every bite of sweetness, the evil grew. It grew with us. Always hidden, deep in our mind. Awaiting its moment of emergence.
We grew up to be adults, maturity became our ally. Friend even. But then came then came the evil. Unexpectedly, rose from the folds hidden away in our brains. Guiding us, we are not aware of it. That’s the beauty of this evil. That’s the beauty of Gluttony.
